The right to philosophy, directed by Yuji Nishiyama (UTCP), is a significant event for the College International de Philosophie. Through interviews conducted with former and current members of the college, emerges a portrait of a singular institution, considered in its history, its evolution, its goals. What that work at the College, producing what and how knowledge sharing practices there do we? What a place of thought, and how the community college is it? How far and how to become this utopia in action has been able to represent the College at its founding in 1983? And what future for the humanities and the "right to philosophy '(Derrida), in the era of globalization?
The film does not just focus on the institution of the college "look away" so dear to Levi-Strauss: it returns a triple questioning the historical, political, and ultimately ethics.
Followed a roundtable with Gisèle Berkman, Michel Deguy, Evelyne Grossman, Boyan Manchev, Yuji Nishiyama, Noudelmann François, Pierre Zaoui.
